HPRS does not provide lodging services or a camping option for this event. We encourage participants to look into lodging and food options in the surrounding area in order to support the local community and its economy. Nearby towns and their distance from the race venue are listed below.

Granby Ranch Resort Area: You're There! There are many VRBO options in the immediate area.

Granby: 4.6 Miles (10 min)

Tabernash: 11.1 Miles (15 min)

Hot Sulphur Springs: 14.7 Miles (21 Min)

Winter Park: 20.3 Miles (27 min)

Grand Lake: 19.4 Miles (29 min)

Silverthorne/Dillon: 69-73 Miles (1hr 20min)

Golden: 77 Miles (1hr 40min)

In the event of inclement weather and mountain road closures: It is not unusual for Berthoud Pass to be closed during the winter season due to Avalanche Issues. In the event that Berthoud Pass is closed, the alternate route to Granby is via CO-9 through Silverthorne, Kremmling, and Hot Sulphur Springs. This is a considerably longer drive than taking Berthoud Pass off of I-70. Please make note of this possible reality when planning your adventure.

Snowshoes will be required. In the event that snow depths are <4", the event may be held as a trail running event or outright cancelled. In the event of cancelation, HPRS will offer all registered participants at time of cancellation a refund of 70% of their entry fees paid (not including taxes and/or processing fees). In the event that we host a "trail running event" instead, no refunds will be provided. We encourage all participants to purchase race registration insurance during time of checkout.

HPRS does NOT rent or own snowshoes. It is up to the individual athlete to secure their own snowshoes for the adventure. !!NO SKIS!! No skis be they alpine, nordic, backcountry, 2x4s or other. No other forms of flotation are allowed.
