This event is an HPRS “Trail Party,” designed to promote community and provide runners of all abilities an opportunity to enjoy trail and ultra running in a fun, stress free, environment.

The Bingo! Trail Party is a one-of-a-kind event, where each runner continues to run loops until they obtain a Bingo on their bib. A bingo is obtained by runners pulling bingo balls from a bag after completion of each loop run. Should the number they pull be present on their bib, the runner will blot the number, run another loop, then pull another ball. If the number is not on their bib, the runner marks nothing, runs another lap, then pulls another ball. This continues up to 10:00pm, and the runner’s result is the number of miles they ran on their way to a bingo. Runners who drop from the event prior to obtaining a bingo, will not be listed as an official finisher. More Details Below!

The course features single and double track trails, and farm roads with ZERO Pavement on a working farm in Byers, CO. The course is mostly exposed with scattered areas of cottonwood trees. The course is mostly flat with negligible elevation gain/loss. There will be one aid station at the main control point for the event, which each runner will access before/after each loop.

LEVEL 1 and LEVEL 2 (6-20 MILES): Runners in Level 1 will receive a bib number consisting of 3 numbers (0-9). Runners in Level 2 will receive a bib number consisting of 4 numbers (0-9).

Each runner will also be assigned their own bag with bingo chips inside. Level 1 will have 5 chips in their bag, Level 2 will have 10 chips in their bag. There will be no repeat numbers in your bag or on your bib.

Each runner will head out to run one of the loops of their choosing (Each ranging from 2 to 2.3 miles in distance). Upon their return to the control point/aid station, each runner will pull a chip from their bag. If the number on the chip they pull is a number present on their bib, they will mark the number on their bib. If a runner pulls a chip from their bag whose number is not present on their bib; the chip will be removed from their bag and they will continue on without marking their bib. No chip will be placed back in the bag of chips once pulled. The runner will then run another loop, and pull another chip upon their return. This continues until each number on their bib has been marked.

Level 1 runners could have a Bingo after 3 loops, while Level 2 runners could have a Bingo after 4 loops. The maximum loops a Level 1 runner will run is 5 loops, and the maximum loops a Level 2 runner will run is 10 loops. Only those obtaining a Bingo will be listed in the final results, with their total number of miles run on the way to their Bingo. Those who fail to obtain a Bingo before ending their run, will not be listed in the results as an official finisher of the event.

While there are staggered start times for each level, all levels have until 10:00 PM to obtain a Bingo. Once you obtain a bingo: you may continue running around the course until all other runners have officially completed their run. Once the final runner has obtained a Bingo, the course will officially close within 30-45 minutes. Miles obtained after your official Bingo are considered "Bonus Miles" and will not count towards your final result.

During the run we will have other initiatives in place that should a runner complete, will earn them an extra pull of a chip while at the control point, or other prizes like comp race entries and HPRS Swag. HAVE FUN!

LEVEL 3 and LEVEL 4 (Ultra 10-54 MILES): Runners in Levels 3 and 4 will receive a bib that has a traditional 5 square by 5 square Bingo Card on their bib. There is no free space.

Level 3 runners will have a bag of Bingo chips consisting of 25 numbers (1-25). Level 4 runners will have a bag of Bingo chips consisting of 35 numbers (1-35).

Runners will start by running a loop of their choice (Each ranging from 2 to 2.3 miles in distance). Upon their return to the control point/aid station, each runner will pull a bingo chip from their personal bag of chips. Should the number they pull be present on their bib, they will mark the number on their bib, then head out to run another loop. Should the number not be present on their bib, they will do nothing and run another loop. Once a chip is pulled it will not be returned to the runner's bag of chips. There will be no duplicates of numbers on a runner's bib, or in their bag. 100% of runners in Level 3 should have a Bingo in a maximum of 21 draws. 100% of Runners in Level 4 should have a Bingo in a maximum of 27 draws. For Levels 3 and 4, a Bingo is defined by any 5-marked spaces in a row on their Bingo Card Bib. Only those obtaining a Bingo will be listed in the final results, with their total number of miles run. Those who fail to obtain a Bingo before ending their run, will not be listed in the results as an official finisher of the event.

"X" BINGO: Runners in "X" Bingo follow the same bib and chip set rules as level 4. The only difference is that instead of trying for one 5-way bing on their bib, they are trying to obtain a "X" Bingo on their bib. That's two 5-way bingo's in the shape of a X on their bib, both 5-way bingos would share the middle space. The earliest someone in "X" would receive a Bingo is 9 draws, which is at least 18 miles. This option is available to those who want to try and guarantee themselves more miles than standard level 4.

HAVE FUN!
