WELCOME TO WESTCLIFFE
THE WET MOUNTAIN VALLEY
& SANGRE DE CRISTOS
Since 2018, The Human Potential Running Series has found a home in humble Westcliffe Colorado. If you are joining us for the September Sange de Cristo Ultras; this page is designed to help you better plan and navigate the Westcliffe area come race weekend.
About Westcliffe and The Wet Mountain Valley: Westcliffe is the smallest town that HPRS operates in with a population of just 600 residents. The town itself is 30 minutes north of the Start/Finish line of the SdC Ultras. Westcliffe was started in 1881 when the local railroad created a stop there, and was named after a town in England known as Westcliff-on-Sea. It’s nearest neighboring town in Silver Cliff. Silver Cliff also has a population of about 600, was named by the miners who settled there in the 1870s after the Silver Cliff Mine.
