Looking To Make A Change: Self Experiment

We’ve all been there, or are there right now. “I wish I could change ____ about myself.” We are all a continuous work in progress, and the best thing we need to make meaningful change in our life is support. We crave support for a variety of reasons and ultimately, having others to hold us accountable or help us along the way is exactly what we need to make goals a reality. Ultra runners, that’s you, also tend to take on the mountain all at once. So what if we slowed it down just a little bit, offered a place of support and compassion, and worked on just one thing at a time? Now’s your chance..

The Human Potential Running Series is proud to introduce you to Unlimited Force, owned and operated by HPRS Director of Human Experience Hollis Lyman, and her “Self-Experiment” initiative. We hope you’ll join the Facebook group, and begin to make meaningful change in your life.

THE SELF EXPERIMENT (Click to join)

This is an experiment of one, supported by many.

How does it work?

Week 1&2 of the month: you choose ONE change to dedicate yourself to. You write about it (guided by suggestions from Unlimited Force Coach, Hollis Lyman). Like a scientific experiment, we change one factor at a time so that we can see the effects that change has and guess less about how to feel better!

Week 3 you revert back to your previous lifestyle without the change you made the past two weeks, and again write about it! (There may be circumstances where you don’t revert back: quitting smoking for example!)

Week 4, we share our thoughts and self-discoveries if that is helpful to you. This is a week to put the “data” together and to better understand your body. No diet agenda this week. Guest speakers and fun events in the Denver area will take place in week 4.

Restart with a new choice the next month and really learn how your body works. Guess less, succeed more.
