We need a little help along the way, and since we don’t make the killing most people think we do, we need the dedicated expertise of a few volunteers.. or uh.. interns. We’re looking to gather a community of driven, engaged, and active individuals to help HPRS. If you are selected to fill one of the below positions, you’ll be graced with comp race entries to all HPRS races so long as you remain with us doin your thang. If you’re looking for a way to give back to your running community, here’s a few options for ya. 

(If you are selected for a position and you are still in school, we will work with your academic schedule and help. provide any resources necessary for your program). Because it’s the least we can do. 

2020 AMBASSADOR PROGRAM LEAD

Want to lead a group of talented runners on their epic ultra voyage? We’re looking for a leader who is fully invested in HPRS, our mission and vision, to help us gather a group of homies on a mission to spread the HPRS love. 

What We’re Looking For

A stellar leader who
• Can represent the HPRS voice
• Is able to collaborate with other HPRS leaders to capture the right runners who will spread the love of trail and ultra running, HPRS, and give back to their community along the way.
• Is imaginative and inventive, and most importantly, passionate about HPRS’ mission, vision, goals, and content.
• Is inventive enough to help us design an ambassador program that is beneficial for all involved

What To Expect 

• To work closely with HPRS leaders whose mission it is to guide, mentor, and teach you leadership methods and strategies that better promote the HPRS mission and vision.
• To help recreate a new and meaningful ambassador program that you and HPRS can be proud of.
• To seek out runners, accept applications, conduct interviews, and help select a team of qualified runners. 
• To be the liaison between HPRS lead staff and the ambassadors in our program.

CONTENT & COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST or INTERN

We’re looking for a few individuals to join our team as Content and Communications Specialists or Interns. Successful candidates will help our organization grow with their skills in research and analytics, leading the way to ultimately writing meaningful pieces. Your role will help our customer base to expand their understanding of our sport; why we participate and how we are able to accomplish amazing athletic feats.

What We’re Looking For

A stellar writer who
• Can represent the HPRS voice
• Is able to collaborate on writing projects such as blog posts, email campaigns, marketing campaign text, event theme text, adventures text, etc.
• Is imaginative and inventive, and most importantly, passionate about HPRS’ mission, vision, goals, and content.
• Is a life-long learner who is deeply curious about a broad range of topics, such as psychology (self actualization, human experience, motivation), and physiology (the science behind the “how” of trail & ultra running, and exercise science).

What To Expect 

• To work closely with HPRS leaders whose mission it is to guide, mentor, and teach you methods and strategies of content research and execution.
• To conduct short and timely research projects that allow you to produce meaningful and engaging content.
• To produce content designed to enhance HPRS’ forward momentum, and that helps the sport of ultrarunning as a whole understand “the how and why” of what we do.

We’re looking for a social butterfly who truly understands the intricacies of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

• Talented in social media engagement with Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and LinkedIn, etc.
• Is imaginative and inventive, and most importantly, passionate about HPRS’ mission, vision, goals, and content.
• Can spot an ad-worthy picture that elicits emotion in runners.

• To work closely with HPRS leaders whose mission it is to guide, mentor, and teach you methods and strategies of social media research and execution.
• To conduct short and timely research products that allow you to produce meaningful and engaging content.
• To produce social media content designed to enhance HPRS’ forward momentum.

VIDEO PRODUCTION

Who doesn’t love a great running video?! We’re looking for a few folks who can not only imagine their favorite running video in their mind, but their keen eye for camera shots allows them to create stirring videos of their own. If you don’t have a camera, we can lend some of ours to you. If you have your own, even better. Ultimately we’re looking for a few folks to help us create original videos, to share some of what goes on behind the scenes, to share some of the myriad of stories there are in our sport, and to use in social media ads and more.

What We’re Looking For

• Runners who know how to make short story videos
• A visual thinker with a fresh perspective
• Imaginative and inventive, and most importantly passionate about HPRS’ mission, goals, and content
• Can represent the HPRS voice
