WELCOME TO THE HUMAN POTENTIAL RUNNING SERIES’
Human Potential is incredibly excited to give runners and clubs a chance to compete within the Colorado trail and ultrarunning community.
THE 2018 ADVERSITY CUP is comprised of 3 Divisions, that have been divided by the level of difficulty.
Runners in each division must complete a minimum of 6 races that will count towards your points total and overall ranking.
Of those 6 races, at least 3 of those completed must be HPRS Races.
Individual Points are also used towards team points (See below).
HPRS feels that the races listed below all encompass the spirit and vision that best aligns with our own vision/mission.
We hope to support our athletes, fellow race directors, and the running community by including these particular races.
THE ENLIGHTENED DIVISION
You must complete a minimum of 3 HPRS races listed below, and may choose any 3 other races from the following options for the required total 6 races.
Only a maximum of two 100-milers, or one 100-miler and one 100k, will count towards your total.
Tommyknocker 12-Hour (50k Minimum)
South Park Trail Marathon
Silverheels 100-Mile Endurance Run
Sheep Mountain 50-Mile Endurance Run
Indian Creek Fifties 50-Mile

Bighorn 100-Mile or 52 Mile
Never Summer 100k

24 Hours of Palmer Lake (50 Mile Minimum)

THE TRANSCENDANTS DIVISION
You must complete at least 3 HPRS races listed below, plus any one 100-miler, or any one 100k, from the list in the Enlightened Division (HPRS or Non); and may choose any 3 other races from the following options for the 6 required total races.

THE EXPLORERS DIVISION
You must complete a minimum of 3 HPRS races listed below, and may choose any 3 other races from the following options for the required 6 total races.
A maximum of two 50k (or longer) races will be scored per runner.

EARNING POINTS FOR YOUR TEAM
To accumulate points towards a specific team (Rocky Mountain Runners, Front Range XC, or another team you and your friends made up..) all team members must submit a simple registration form to acknowledge the team they’d like their points to go towards. This registration must be completed prior to the start of the 4th race of the HPRS Season (Silverheels 100 -or- Last Call 50 Mile) by CLICKING HERE.
You may only be a member of ONE team and you cannot switch teams after you submit your registration (no exceptions).
All team members points, up to a maximum of the ten (10) best team member scores, count toward team points. Teams must be comprised of at least 4 participants in order to be scored. (If a team has 13 registered runners, the lowest 3 team member scores are not used to tabulate team points)
* The non-HPRS races listed are races that we feel encompass the spirit and vision that best aligns with our own vision/mission. None of these races are affiliated with HPRS in any way, nor has a formal agreement been reached, nor has a request for permission to add them to The Adversity Cup taken place. You participate in other races at your own risk and are subject to their own rules and regulations as normal.
